The brief for Minitopia was to create a delight for all, a wonderland of mini on trend products that inspire and enchant. State28 were engaged to design both the branding and interior of the retail tenancy with a fun, product focused goal.

LED coloured lighting creates an engaging shopfront and summons passers by to stop and enter the store. The lighting is continued through the main circulation passage to entice and encourage a journey throughout the vignettes and displays within the store. The stick like lighting mimics the playful game of pick up sticks and anchors back to the playful rainbow branding.

Inside the tenancy a clean palette of restrained finishes was utilised to best showcase the bright and colourful merchandise to ensure they’re the star and focus of the space. Clever under display storage was constructed for easy day to day product stocking. An engaging chair wall was installed at the rear of the tenancy where each product was provided its own lit pocket to showcase and provide visual connection to the multiple products on offer.

The key success of Minitopia’s design is enabling customers to travel through the space and step from one display to the next ensuring they are able to interact and purchase the diverse range of products on offer easily and with pleasure.
